Bespoke Oak table and chairs – beautifully crafted and mad in New Zealand back in the 1950’s for a Christchurch family. The table is solid oak and quite heavy with a great patina as hopefully you can see from the photo, bottom cross leggings to rest your feet on and the top is in wonderful condition. Barley twist support legs. It measures 1.7 m long x 95cm wide and is 77cm tall. Note with the cross bands at the bottom it will need consideration as to entry and exit from room.
As for the chairs made at the but alas there is only 5 as one has gone astray – barley twist sides and very solid with no movement. One chair has had a small repair done front top just under the seat cover please note but not noticeable. They have been recovered as the original leather coverings were torn and worn so now as new. The chairs are 1m tall at the back and 44cm x 44cm across the seat – very comfortable.
This is a great set and should be purchased as a such however I would consider selling table separate from chairs if need be.
